The first week is an introductory lab. The below files replace the ones in your lab manual. Please download both files and print them.
First read the Introduction & Safety file. This will give you important information on safety, basic lab practices, and a good introduction to working with measurements and numbers. The last page is a safety 'contract' that all of you will need to sign and turn in on Saturday. [The first thing we will do in the second lab is take a quiz over these concepts.]
Next, read the Lab 1 file. This is the actual lab we will be doing in class on Wednesday. On page 2, you will see the pre-lab questions. Complete these BEFORE lab. Briefly read through the rest of Lab 1 to familiarize yourself with the tasks we will do.
